    As a Candadian, hockey's by far my favorite sport; I watch almost every playoff game. I agree w/ the thread's majority on always taking the moneyline dog in the playoffs (game lines and series lines), regardless of home ice or regular season records, but I have noticed one weird thing I can't explain: when a dog steals game 1, the home team (almost) always comes out with more energy and looks great in the first 10 mins of game 2.

    Now, it being hockey, that doesn't necessarily mean they get a lead, but it's usually a bad time for my underdog bet. And it doesn't make sense: there's no reason for the dog not to play just as hard those 10 minutes as the first 10 mins of game 1, but that's sure as heck how it feels. No idea why, though.

    Goood point, but then the question is, if 'urgency' is the key, why doesn't it seem to help the team facing the end of its season in elimination games? Very, very few series this year have gone 7 games (maybe just 2?), despite a stupid new seeding system that guaranteed most series lines would be pretty close to pick ems.

    Think pens win here but that's a great number for the Sens and they looked great in game one. Think I'm gonna have to pass and just enjoy the game but im pulling for the Sens so good luck.

    My guess is those comments are directed generally at everyone on the pens' #1 and 2 lines and their #1 pp line, but especially at Sidney Crosby, who has underperformed since returning from his game 3 injury. At 5dimes, I think a few pens' players' sog lines are worth a closer look, but my favorite is bet # 3153, Crosby OV 3 sogs.

    Im sitting on Sens to win the cup at +1114 but I doubt they take this game here. Will just watch some good playoff hockey!

    This is the type of game Sens will have to get lucky to win, they will definitely not out-work or out-chance the Pens in this game. But this is hockey, anything can happen

    I hit for a very sweaty 2 units as well, gave one back on the pl.

    Pitt still not scoring any goals though for awhile now.

    Not sure I'll be touching them in Ottawa.

    I agree that the value was there for Ottawa here given the circumstances, I'm kind of riding Pitt all the way (very reluctantly as a Philly fan)as I had them winning the cup long ago so that's who I'll be betting.

    u guys need to have balls and bet these goal lines because they are golden. Same exact situation last year with Tampa. Tampa won game one Pitt wins game 2 by one goal. Heck even the coach on Ottawa put his goalie out with thirteen seconds left to preserve that 1 goal lead for Pitt. A terrible move unless u think these things are rigged which i do. I want to thank him for doing that. Even the announcers were befuddled because of it. Crosby and Maulkin have completely forgotten how to play just like game 1 and two against TB last year
