Pardon my ignorance but what is an 'IF bet'? Is it like the system bet?

If-Bet is a chain of wagers that carry over to the next bet only if the player wins the initial selection. The player has to wager a fixed amount on the first selection. A new selection can be placed with another fixed amount, up to the payout amount of the subsequent wager.
The player must win the first wager in order for the remaining wagers to have action. If the first wager loses or pushes, there is no subsequent action. As each selection wins, there will be action on the following wager. There may be up to 15 selections in one If-Bet. Correlation restrictions for If-Bets are the same as they are for parlays.

I tried this years ago. Usually a 3-4 team if bet. What got annoying real fast is the first team I had would lose ( so I would lose the bet ), and the other 2 or 3 would win.

So basically you could only use an "If Bet" with all available sports that's on the board?
But if you knew a line would be out in 3 days on a game... it would be kind of useless?
Probably better off with an "Open Parlay"

The IF bet was very popular before smartphones
and connectivity everywhere. It was the way to bet next
without needing to connect or call.
The only time I use it now is if I don't want to log on.
