    Startup Question.
A few weeks ago SBR saved me a fortune by directing me to information in regards to scams which involved sub-leasing gambling licenses and websites for a fee. I wanted to give my thanks again for helping me avoid these scams and potentially losing a small fortune.

I've got a new question today. How much would it cost to startup a offshore website with all the necessary licenses and such. I'm figuring on starting small and hiring a few software developers and a webmaster. Anyone have a rough idea? I plan to market heavily but thats a seperate issue I plan to address accordingly. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Although this is more about casinos, here's some reading to start with: http://www.startcasino.com/index.php3

Just avoid the message board. Too much publicity from scammers.

just had to say that this site is now 2 for 2 in helping me out. I'm sure many others can say that on this forum as well but i don't think other forums are as helpful and as quick as this one is. Thanks so much again for your help max. and also to all the moderators who make this damn site so good and having help readily available at a drop of a dime. so far so great.

KidSeoul...here's an unsolicited comment...but unless you are a really marketing ace with a very specific plan to target a niche set of bettors no one else has figured out how to tap I'd be very cautious...this is an oversaturated market...I think other informed site members would agree.

My sentiments exactly. Please don't go in unless you truly feel you have something revolutionary to offer or an unknown, untapped market to support

thanks for the advice bookie and isetcap. I do have something that is definitely a niche in the market and how revolutionary? we'll just have to see. I think my idea will definitely spark interest and most likely set a new trend. My thinking is to have every step in place, capital - software engineers - website developers - etc, so that others can't copy the idea so quickly and exploit the market before I do.

But I do appreciate the honesty and looking out for my interest. I will definitely have to offer SBR some form of reimbursement, via coupons or other bonuses, once my idea is up and running.

Even if you meet all the requirements above you must be willing to take a beating at the beginning to make it.

true- It's similar to any business. If you can whether the storm then you can make it. The only problem is that this storm is a category 5.

If I were in New Orleans and/or Florida, the above comment could be pretty offensive. haha.

But I'm in NYC. Not so much of :0000036:. And your absolutely correct. I am ready to brave the storm and can't wait to grab the pot of gold on the other side of this rainbow.

Lucky for me, the idea I have isn't really a gambling website, therefore I am not really going to have to fuel the fire with cash only. I will offer great incentives but within a confined structure where publicity would be the only goal and membership rates would have to increase. As I stated earlier, I'm ready to spend a fortune on marketing to make this idea take off. But when it does take off you will find me :0000042: on an island somewhere playing some golf.
