Who would be second on the list of "Horrible Signings in Baseball" this year? Chris Davis at least has 16 hrs to go with the .236 batting average.

There should be a prop bet on how how many times he grounds out to 2nd.

1.2 WAR, middle of the pack for his position

might work out perfectly for the Cubs, they don't need him now. They are on near recording setting pace.

if he gets hot for August, Sept, Oct and for the post season, no one will remember the first 4 months of the season

this thread made me curious to see who the top paid baseball players are and how many actually produced after getting the mega contract.. really the only ones are A Rod and Miggy

Also saw that Giancarlo Stanton makes $154K per game

what? he can buy two nice cars after every game. getting paid $154k per game is just insane considering the guy strikes out so much.

Giving just about anyone in baseball big money is suicidal these days.

Clayton Kershaw seems to be the lone exception.

I've said for a while that player opt outs are completely stupid for teams. If he plays well, they get him for 3 years then he'll test free agency again. If he sucks, your stuck with him in a terrible contract for 8 years. Way too big risk in these deals. Probably getting either 3 good years or 8 bad years.

auto out during the playoffs.... I would actually use it to my advantage betting live last year during the playoffs when I knew he was up next.

Heyward just got a hit past the second baseman. To honor the occasion, they're taking the ball out of the game and sending it to Cooperstown.

Unreal. Just let him walk already!!

He just went down on three pitches and wasn't close swinging on the third.

yah it's bad, once again those long term contracts not working out, baseball is weird when guys in prime team has control not paying them well then they become free agents and teams over paying and of course they decline and suck
