I was playing PXP wagering with youwager.com during the Monday nighter and before the last play of the game I bet that the Saints would not get a first down. Clearly the tight end did not get to the sticks but the official game log says 3-6, 6 yard gain. He was tackled with time on the clock and the officials did not signal first down and he really was a full yard short of the sticks, he did not even approach the 15 yard line.

It is a decent amount of money between 194-195 $

I'll see what you guys think before I complain to them

      3-6-ATL21 (:01) (Shotgun) A.Brooks pass to Z.Hilton to ATL 15 for 6 yards (D.Hall).
      Good Question..

I think I'm screwed because they have 5 first downs in the 4th quarter in the stats, and that would have to be one of them. It will probably show up as a FD in that backup TE's stats, But off to live chat I go, hopefully I get lucky

I think the last play of the Saints/Falcons game should be reviewed for statistical purposes, as the catch only gained five yards and did not pick up a first down, I think it is neccessary for the integrity of the game to change it.

Well it looks like I can't get it overturned, their rules explcitly state that the nfl.com stats are used for scoring. I probably can play PXP forever and never have this happen again, no response from NFL.com.

I'm not positive but I think that NFL.com gets their stats from Stats Inc. You may want to call them.

From the conversation I had it seemed like even if they did change it they would call it an "overturned decision" which is not honored for wagering purposes in Vegas rules. I am curious if anyone has ever been able to get stats changed, although I doubt many people try.

I did get surprise holiday bonuses from the First Fidelity family totaling $75, although they were coming anyway I wasn't expecting them so it is almost like the bet was no action now.

Its a bad one rm. But, its good you're positive and at least now we now to check the stats of the source info. Iwonder if Ive ever 'won' but not known because Ive used livescore or something?

If you are in a negative.marginal balance with them you could always ask for a goodwill gesture.

I'm a member of SABR and associated mailing lists, and we quite often get MLB stats overturned during the season when the official scorer has incorrectly scored a play. A discussion takes place on list, a copy of which is sent to the stats agency, and we usually get a reply saying they've reviewed the play and agree and are changing the stats appropriately.

It does happen, but I can't comment on pro football
