The natives up here in New England have been up in arms, screaming like the Irish Banshees of folklore. all night.

One local sports media type said it best, "Without question, the worst deal in Boston Celtics history.

    • SF Jaylen Brown

    Celtics receive:

I think so. I've been listening to radio stories the last 24 hours:
*Modern BASK has all these analytics. Brown does not rate as a top-end 2-way baller.
...I call these guys hi-usage players. They invariably score pts. How can they not?
...The +/- analysts don't rate Brown as a great player.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Very hard to survive when 2 players are slated to take up over 70% of your salary cap for several future seasons. The new environment of the NBA.

          Two things, Chuck.
Up here, two pro teams matter: the Pats and the Celtics, three if you classify the UConn Huskies as a pro team.

We, even though I'm not a fan, watch the Patriots every Sunday, and as much of the Celtics as we can.

          1) Jaylen Brown plays good defense; don't let anybody tell you different.

          2) Without going into one of my geeky analytical overload moods, I don't place much credence in the +/- NBA metric.
          It's very misleading.

The 2024 Denver Nuggets were worse, believe it or not.
Michael Porter, Murray, and Joker's combined salaries were close to 80 percent; it was so top-heavy that Porter had to go, he was making too much money, and you can't blame Porter for that.
