Mets fire Mendoza, appoint Andy Green interim manager
Carlos Mendoza dismissed as Mets manager

Go figure, halfway through the season, the Mets and Red Sox are two of the worst teams in the majors, both teams are 13 under .500
The White Sox and Rockies are both playing better ball than the Mets. And even the Royals are winning games without Garcia, Cole Ragans, and Bobby Witt, Jr.

I wonder if the new guy will allow them putting on a Spider Man mask after a home run. (when they're down 11 runs)

          The Mets overpaid for Williams.
Granted, he had three brilliant seasons out of the pen in Milwaukee.
But when you pitch in 65+ games in relief a year, two things are bound to happen.

          a) The hitters eventually will figure you out.
          b) After appearing in 200+ games across 3.5 years, your arm tires out.

          In this case, both.
