Thanks Nash! It's been a hot minute since I last posted on here. The site looks good. Yeah that UConn price was insane, I couldn't believe it. I'm assuming that because they had some unknowns with injuries and the blowout loss to St. Johns, they were priced a certain way. But my thought process was that if they made the final four, the players that were injured would get healthy, and they would basically be at full strength going into the final four. Danny Hurley and his coaching staff is elite and I also like how their practices are extremely fierce, it makes them more fortified and tougher as a team. Which helps them during the grind of the tournament. One interesting thing I've noticed is that people usually mention that they are undersized against most of their opponents, which is true, but Hurley has used this to his advantage as well because the offense they run makes it harder for the opponent's 3's, 4's, and 5's to chase Karaban and Mullins around on those screens where they are always curling and moving and shooting 3's. Furman was actually a sneaky tough matchup because Furman was incognito the 5th tallest team in the country, with two 6'11 dudes in their front court. So UConn has a lot of experience dealing with being undersized against an opponent and holding their own.

It will be such an interesting matchup for this natty. For all I know, Michigan could easily dominate and win their second natty since their 1989 title. But obviously, I'm glad that I have UConn at +3300 instead of +250 or whatever it is now for the ML. I'll be rooting for UConn. That'a cool that you are in Connecticut. Go Huskies!

The game was Courchevel. It's essentially 5-Card Pot Limit Omaha but the first flop card is exposed. So the strategy gets really interesting with your opponents where you can forecast and think about how your hand will play on future streets. If the card exposed was a 10 of clubs for example, you would want to have A(c)-K(c)-Q-J-9, so you have nut clubs and also wrap around the straight draws. Or have something like 10-10-x-x-x, so you have a set right away. It was a fascinating game, first time I played it live and I ended up winning which was such a thrill. Haven't been able to play since. Hope you're doing well, and thanks for the good luck wishes on the UConn bet, take care!

I play at ACR, they spread both PL 5-card Omaha and PL 5-card o8 tourneys.
I taught myself Omaha (the true poker game) years ago, so when the 5-card version went live two years ago, of course, I was all over it.

Talk about insane variables?

I did my due diligence, being the numbers nerd that I am, and there are 2,6 million possible starting hands in 5-card Omaha, the game where your Ace high diamond flush is often not good enough, insane, but I love it.
