So you get every best team to win, no Cinderella teams ever win WC, they don't even go far.

The only teams that have any chance in theory are Netherlands and Portugal.
Life won't let Ronaldo win a WC so that's out.

The brackets are set up so top teams don't eliminate themselves.

I don't see how this losses.

Even if a non powerhouse made the final somehow which they won't they would be a big underdog.
