    The 28-year-old son of “Survivor” contestants Brad and Monica Culpepper has died following a dirt bike crash.

    Rex Culpepper, who played quarterback at Syracuse from 2017 to 2020, succumbed to injuries suffered Saturday in Georgia, Tampa, Fla., public radio station WUSF reported on Monday.

    The former football player was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2024 and reportedly worked for the Morgan & Morgan law firm in Tampa at the time of his death. He was recently engaged to former Syracuse cheerleader Savannah Morgan. She shared her grief on Instagram.

    “No one expects to meet the love of your life and lose them in only 6 short years after meeting,” Morgan posted. “Rex didn’t always believe in soulmates but towards the end he told me that he didn’t realize what having a soulmate felt like until we felt like extensions of each other.”

    Morgan said every day she had with “Rexy” was full of fun experiences.
