OK, my best Jesse Jackson story. WISC FB coach Barry Alvarez brought in Jesse as a motivational speaker. Jesse speaks for 40 minutes to the Badger team, tells some motivational stories.

Jesse is wrapping up. Asks the team if they have any questions.

Dead-air. One guy (Off Tackle Jerry Wunsch) raises his hand. Jesse points "Yes, go ahead."

Wunsch was known to be a bit of a meat-head. WUNSCH: "What was it like to hit a Home Run in the World Series?"

Alvarez (among others) scrunches his face and wonders what Wunsch is talking about. "That's REGGIE Jackson, you idiot."

If you weren’t alive to see what he was dealing with in the 60’s and 70’s you can’t believe what he had to endure.
