I'm a Polish American, and Kosciusko was the greatest Polish military engineer who ever lived.
My dad was the second-greatest military engineer who ever lived, but I may be biased. lol
Yeah it was named after him by a Polish explorer named Strezlecki. Plaques on the mountain talk about him being a freedom fighter.
