If there's one category that I've tried to wrap my head around, it's stabilizers:
*Low-risk items that might NOT produce a Yield that keeps up with inflation.
*But on a day like THUR, they minimize some of the bleeding.
*My FAVORITE stabilizer = Copper. It SHOULD increase slowly, I don't see much down-side risk.

Chuck , I'm old as you know so I'm biased toward safety. I gave out ET 2 months ago and EPD is competitor, although WAY up last few months. Both seem like a good place to hide with 6-8% DIV's.

I'm good with ET as we speak. A foundation of a solid portfolio is more important as you age, and maybe as you mature as an investor??

Hey, Mad. I have used some of your suggestions.

Dividend payouts do seem like a good strategy. Price arguably builds in the dividend stream. But dividend payouts likely mean that fund has limited downside-risk.
