    (CollFB) Duke sues QB Mensah
    He was looking to transfer. This after hauling in reported $4Mill in 2025.

    I have said I won't pay full-freight for NFL tickets. Now, same thing for Coll FB. These players are spoiled, and it's become a true Minor league. These guys are cashing in, b/c most of em won't make the NFL.

      Chucky, I used to be obsessed with college football and it was my favorite sport...NIL and the transfer portal have ruined it.

      I still follow but nowhere near as closely as I used to and it is essentially a professional sport now. I agree with you about not paying big money for tickets for these spoiled and coddled players anymore. I guess you can't blame them for going after the most money and greener pastures but all loyalty is gone and it's the wild west now. The great game we once knew is a totally different animal now.

          Salud, Jake. I agree:

          1) I have thought this about NFL. The player salaries are exorbitant.
          ...When the Bengal players hold out, that $$ gets passed on>>higher tickets.
          ...All the while, they lose games...and couldn't care less about winning games.

          2) Coll FB felt like more of a fair trade-off.
          ...Scholarship where guy can play for the team, get an education and earn a degree.
          ...These players are ready to go back to Free Agency after the season finishes.

              Agree 100% with you guys. I loved for FBS football for years now I probably watched about 10 games all season. I found myself completely pivoting to FCS. NIL is a complete joke and out of hand. It has pretty much toilet bowled CBB as well. The parode and excitement that CBB had just gotten to prior to NIL went away immediately.

                  Tony felt like he had to "re-recruit" each player in the off-season. Imagine trying to build a program like that.

                      That is exactly the case now and these college jobs are 24/7/365 and you have to re-recruit players currently on your roster as well as the traditional recruiting. Saban and many others got out as they saw the writing on the wall and their jobs got significantly harder and I do not blame them one bit for retiring given the current climate.

                          Let us not forget gentlemen coaches, athletic directors ,etc, raking in millions of dollars. Before the shit hit the fan look to them on why we are where we are. Just my 2 cents,

                              One more thing. Imo college football and basketball have always been a pro business. Just that the majority of employees were not getting justly compensated.
