I was reading a few days ago that the line opened at 5.5 at some books and was bet down to 4.5 several hours later.

Conversely, most of the books that made the opener New England - 4.5 were bet up to 5.5

Except for a 21-16 final score, five is an uncommon number, and when it does land on five, there's usually a two-point conversion and a safety involved

I'm going to be highly suspicious if this game lands on a five.

I could be wrong but it seems like too big of an adjustment was made with Nix out. Broncos would probably be a slight favorite if Nix was playing so the line was adjusted +/- 7 points. I have a feeling that if the Broncos lose, it won't be because Stidham shit the bed. Payton did pretty well in recent history from what I can remember with backup QBs in New Orleans(Bridgewater and Hill). One would think that the Broncos will try and shorten the game and lean on the running game and defense with Stidham in there so getting Dobbins back would be helpful.

Long story short, I like Denver +4.5 at home here as it will likely be a low scoring close affair.

Line bet down to -4 at most shops now. It still hasn't been explained to me how Denver is going to score points. During the regular season their offense was average at best with the bulk of their production coming from their quarterback and #1 running back. Both of them are now hurt and out for the game, and their backups will now have to score against one of the better defenses in the NFL.

Nasher , in the old days 90% (guessing) ended in 3,4,7,10 etc. The advent of the 35yd xtra point and the supposed metrics to forgo fg's and go for more 4th downs has destroyed the traditional teaser. Call it Wong or whatever I used it very profitably for years in the 70's. They should have called it the Madison. Nowadays that tradition is OLD and over. Thus look at the number of odd scores or whatever they call them has exploded in the last few years.

Heck I won 50% of a $200 square 2 years ago with 2&5 and didn't even realize it until KC was driving late. LOL
