Account approved within minutes, and I haven't paid attention to prices but today I checked lines for the NHL...And they made me think of a local I used a couple of years ago lol

47c bet 100, to be paid 205 on Senators

Is this correct? Damn I hoped to have a lower vig but it's still better than nothing, I guess. Those prices include the vig, right?

You're right. Their posted buy/sell numbers don't match the $ payout figures.

179 = -127 or implied probability of 55.9%, not 54%.
205 = +105 or implied probability of 48.8%, not 47%.

Looks like they insert their fees in there between the buy/sell quotes and the payout $ shown.

Took a look and there are tons of markets. It's really good for makers since the take will be lower and you can put up alts. Unfortunately, I can't use it from my state.

If you place bets on longshots or heavy chalk the fees are low.

If you place bets on props that are near even money, the fees are higher. Looks like similar to a vanilla book with 20-25 cent market spread for typical ATS bets.


Place your bet offers early if you want to bet ATS is the way to use it.

Yeah I'll have to figure out the 'bet offers' - I was thinking if there are 'makers' on major markets, it would be possible to get decent prices 'taking' offers, but Kalshi doesn't really offer that

OLD DOG here. The new/cavalier way people move money astounds me. I was in cybersecurity for years. Mark the words ... "The next huge theft will be by Q codes".

Kinda like you MA.... so what I did was get a separate credit card with a very small limit on it a "Clark Howard thing originally used for PayPal/venmo and then twinspires". I used it to deposit to Kalshi thru SBR and no issues.
