Keep an eye on this weather system in New England
Holiday weekend snow could impact several major cities along I-95 corridor in the Northeast

I woke up to 16 degrees, -8 degrees when you factor in the wind chill. But it's going to be an icy weekend.

I have no problem with a 9-7 smash mouth football game played on ice.
      Come on, Houston, bring it.

If Captain Bill were still around, he would make sure those portable heaters behind the Texans' bench weren't working.

        Auerbach copycat!!!

Houston @ NE and LA @ CHI weather games have forever intrigued me. One of the first things I note on my survivor checklist.

Weather exponentially effects Offense. Defense carries.

          Here's your update.
I've been living in this region all my life, and this particular system is only going to produce 2-4" of snow (which is virtually nothing), but it's going to be nut-cracking cold, which makes for really slippery, icy conditions. Personally, I'd rather have 12" of powder than 2" of ice

          Update
Snow to blast New Jersey this weekend with two separate storms en route

Good info. Not sure how this plays out. My instinct is that HOU will handle the weather.

It's supposed to be around 32% when Houston wins.

As of now it looks like a dusting Saturday and Sunday. Temp in the 20s with no wind. If this prediction hold I don't think it will have too much impact on the game.

Yeah, the latest is light snow at kickoff (3:00)

I woke up to a coating, a little more later, but not much.

Looks as if Nico Collins has been ruled out with a concussion which is a huge blow to Houston. It looks like Schultz and the 2 young WRs need to step up.

Cold is not a big deal when both teams run the ball on most plays. I think it favors the defense as they stack the front to stop the run.

Let's see NJ or coastal ma? I think the answer is easy. You add some humidity to the cold and there's not much outerwear that can help. The dampness eats into your bones. I'll take the dry cold any day!!

The dampness will turn to ice overnight, but by kickoff time, I think the field will be in decent shape.

Damn, this weather system had the potential to drop 4-6" of snow, but we'll get barely 2."
Bummer, the weather gurus usually get it right. I live off the Long Island Sound, and we're two degrees or so warmer than inland.

I always felt the offence has the advantage in bad weather, the receivers know where they're going regarding their route. Defence has to react with bad footing.

Under not helped by some interesting decision making by the Patriots … wtf - all they need to do is play the field position game and this game is theirs.

Throwing against this Defense on their own 20 in this weather?
