Chief, I think one angle: *Oregon plays in a higher profile conference. Ducks are on TV more.
...Re-formed Big12 is lower profile.
...Observers aren't quite as sure about TX Tech.
...TXTech schedule wasn't overwhelming. Should the two BYU wins impress?
...Truth is that TXTech is talented. Good team. Assuming the QB is healthy (after rest), they should demonstrate that they're every bit as good as Oregon.

*One aspect that I'll be watching: If Moore is asked to pass to win the game, is he accurate enough? The talent is there, but I'm not convinced he can perform as a precise passer.

1) Moore is proving me wrong. High Comp%. But his Yards/Comp is not high.
...TxTech may need an INT to win this game. Force Moore to throw into tight windows.

2) 100% agree w/ Lanning going for 4th/2 at 4:00.
...You want to either: score the td...OR...get the last scoring chance of the half.
...Sappington is a reliable K. Made the FG.

If I'm TxTech, I don't feel too bad. DEF hanging tough. Have to figure out some offense.

McGuire should have put backup QB in 4th qtr. The kid, Hammond, can run the football and is good throwing it as well. The way the game was shaping up, he needed to make a move like that. Too bad, the TT defense was awesome...they just got no support from Off.
Congrats to Ore - watch out for these guys! I knew their D was good as their offense but today removed all doubts. TT a Top5 Offense and they were totally deflated.

I paid dearly for this hunch. Very odd for a breakout team to be proven completely legit on one side of the ball and totally fraudulent on the other this late in a season, the QB was a joke.

I get the frustration, Morton was rough and TT definitely should’ve leaned on the run more. That said, saying Oregon is done feels like a stretch. They didn’t look great, but they took advantage of a bad offense and did what they had to do. Let’s see how they look next game.

TTech looked flat 2 times this year = once against AzSt. and now this one. The offense never got on track period and that is mainly due to Duck defense (and a frustrated Morton)... and at the risk of looking foolish, I think they have the only D that can hang with Indy rcvrs. It looked like TT wides could not cut free at all ystrdy and that is saying alot being that they have not had that problem prev. That said, I am re-assessing IU now after bama beatdown. thaat was BRUTAL! Like anyone else I knew they were very good but if they win out they automatically get in discussion of "AllTime Great Teams - - and they should be in discussion already. Just amazing year,, I was thinking there was chance that historically great Alabama could be the team to derail them but not even close. I never saw them (bama)take such a thrashing - it was Twilight Zone type sht. Still might end up putting a little on Ore next week but will probably change my mind a few times as I know what I saw last n ight.
