I don't see how he doesn't get suspended. I mean, if he's not, then the NFL is saying its acceptable for players take swings at fans because of something they say? You can't have that.

he didn't connect totally which could help his punishment but I think he could be charged with assault as well.

My guess would be that Metcalf pays small fine (relative to his income) and maybe a 1 game susp. but I think just the fine.

Surprised nobody here commented on last play of game and don't see it on any other thread. So correct me if I'm wrong but on that last play Pitts would have to accept that penalty thus giving Det another crack at it with 2 seconds ? ... left on clock. If Pitt declines penalty then that looked like a TD to me otherwise. So the game should not have ended that way.
And similar in NE@Balt , that 70 yard bomb from Maye to Boutte was equally as crazy and felt it was a live ball after both players swatted at it. I know the "Expert" said that it was incomplete but those guys are awful. They should be batting 97% but they may not even be 55% collectively. Such a joke !

According to contract language reviewed by CBS Sports, Metcalf’s four-year, $132 million deal includes a clause that voids guarantees if the player is suspended by the league. The suspension immediately costs Metcalf more than $555,000 and voids at least $45 million in future guarantees, including his previously fully guaranteed $25 million salary for the 2026 season. Metcalf can still earn the money, but it would no longer be protected.
