A lady is losing her mind about something similar happening at our local KFC drive thru this week. A kid shouted through the speaker "did you just S**t yourself cu**" by accident. She said the kid apologized profusely when she got to the pay window but she decided to post about it on our town facebook community group hoping to cause trouble.
I was kind of pleased to see most of the dozens of replies told her she was a nasty Karen and to STFU.
Same thing should happen to anyone acting like that announcer comment deserves punishment too..Comment -

How do you really know he didn’t call her that? And what If she thought he called her that, I can see why she’d be upset. Especially if her husband or kids were in the car. I should have made it more clear this was in Australia, where that word is used in many "acceptable" ways. If he had called her a C in a manner meant to insult, then yeah, everyone here would want him sacked too. But he was caught out thinking the mike was off and made a fairly "normal" aussie teenager comment to someone in the shop who farted in his booth.
Anyways, my point was that an unintentional slip over a "hot mike" is not a good reason for cancelling the media guy or the kid imho. Ymmv

Culture does have a lot to do with it like you mentioned. The C-word triggers a lot of women in the US. It might be as bad as the N-word.Comment
