Damn. Reports coming in now. Not yet confirmed on Wikipedia.

RIP, Greg. Like Joaquin Andujar said, "I can sum it up in one word: 'You never know.'"

Never heard of him. Don’t watch car racing. Daughter Emma only 14 and Ryder 5. Very sad indeed. RIP to all.

A lot of plane crashes at that airport. Lot of nascar people fly out of there.

i did a lot of research on plane crashes. The number one reason is pilot error, 2 is mechanical issues, 3rd is weather. But in most cases, it’s a combination of the 3. This crash was heavy fog, bad weather but they will most likely say pilot error. Kobe died in heavy fog, poor weather. I do not fly in bad weather or even rain. People think I’m paranoid but I can control that piece. I just tell the airline, I don’t fly in the rain and they always reschedule me and never charge extra. That should tell you something.

Yeah I'm still shocked, my dad told me last night. We were both huge Biffle guys from his years racing with Roush Ford.

Mac, that's interesting. Yes, flying is not simple as flipping the switch.

Funny Biffle ad I pulled up:

Salud, pack. Ha-ha. I remembered it and thought it embodied the spirit of Biffle.

Actually another factor is not calculating the correct weight and load distribution of people and luggage at take off. And I'm not saying this has anything to do with this accident but for a small jet changing the center of gravity by having unbalanced loads or too much cargo/luggage at the wrong spot on the plane can have catastrophic consquences at take off. But you can also get hit by lightning or birds get sucked in the engine. It appears the pilot knew there was a problem at take off and tried to come back to land but didn't make it.
