It was 4th and almost 2 at his own 30 yard line in a tied game where his defense was completely dominating second half

He goes for it and doesn't get it. Houston gets a TD and wins the game

Im completely dumbfounded. Is Reid getting alzheimers?? Its a horrible call when you're down 3 because there was so much time left. In a tied game, its unfathomable

Yeah, that decision was wild. In a tied game, with your defense cruising, there’s just no reason to gamble on 4th-and-2 from your own 30. It basically gift-wrapped Houston the game.
Reid’s a great coach, but man… that one was head-scratching.

Don't forget that Collinsworth said it was the right call from an analytics stand point by 3% on the broadcast. This is why you should never read PFF and mute your volume if he ever is announcing a game. The game was a defensive game Andy lost them that game on that decision 10000% Houston couldn't do shit. Desperate times make u do dumb shit. Bye Bye Chiefs. I had under so Idgaf to be honest but it was a horrible decision and I agree with the OP

'collinsworth said the call when they were down 7 was right, he was vehemently against this one

there's no analytics world that would encourage you to go for it on 4th and 2 from your own 30 in a tied game

Can’t remember if Patriots were winning or game was tied but I’ve seen them when Brady was still QB go for 4th down deep in their own territory. Nonetheless, still a horrible call.

              Right. ABC (Anybody But Chiefs)

Mrs. Taylor Swift needs to retire, one catch over the middle the whole game.
Travis needs to get his head out of Taylor's shorts and into the game.
Noah Gray had a bigger game, and he's been sucking for years.

A friend of mine actually graduated from Delaware.

Nothing wrong with the call. They convert it probably higher than 70% of the time. They just got unlucky and fell in the 30% side.

Lions go for it all the damn time when they should take points and nobody says anything.

Players should hold onto the ball.

                        ^^

If you soak in all the praise then face the music when things go pear shaped. Not a good look.

As far as this being his last season, my guess is it's highly likely. It looks like the gravy train is over and their best players have gotten a little long in the tooth and they need to revamp. He has had an amazing career and won a lot of games but I don't see the point or motivation to come back given the state of the team.

The Texans are nearly in red zone if you don't get it

Even if you do get it, whats the reward? You're at 35 yard line, you still need another 65 yards for a TD

There is something called risk reward analysis. The risk is absolutely enormous. The reward is relatively small

Also you ****** your defense very hard

BS he said the analytics said to go for it by 3% when it was tied. He did disagree with the analytics after he said it.. Further more Andy has never done that in all his years of coaching when tied or leading going for it on 4th and 2 not over the 50 look it up.
