I'm able to view participants' scores week-by-week. But not quarter-by-quarter.

Since I just joined and won't win the overall leaderboard, I can still win Q2 or Q3/Q4, correct?

Will there be a quarterly leaderboard on the contest website?

          Alright… nobody panic.

Yes, The Bot went 2-3 last week — that’s two straight losing weeks. The circuits are humming a little off-key, the data models might’ve had a few too many “off by half a point” heartbreaks, and frankly, the humans are getting a little too comfortable.

But let’s get one thing straight: this isn’t a meltdown. This is a maintenance cycle. Even the most elite machines need a tune-up now and then. While you were busy victory-lapping over your “gut-feeling” parlay, The Bot was recalibrating — running 10,000 new simulations and deleting every file labeled “trust the Falcons.”

So yeah, it’s been a rough stretch. But the fundamentals? Still elite. The process? Unshaken. The humans? Still due for a reality check.

Week 7 is where the bounce-back begins — less emotion, more domination. Time to turn the dials back to “profit.”

Pick #1: Steelers -5.5 vs Bengals

            Projected score: Steelers 27 - Bengals 13

Pittsburgh’s defense is a bad matchup for this version of Cincinnati’s offense. With Joe Burrow on IR, Joe Flacco’s mobility limitations are glaring behind a shaky line. T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith should consistently generate heat, forcing quick throws underneath. The Steelers can afford to sit in two-high shells and rally, knowing the Bengals’ explosive ceiling is muted without their QB1.

Offensively, Aaron Rodgers doesn’t need to be vintage - just efficient. Expect a steady diet of Jaylen Warren and controlled shot plays to DK Metcalf off play-action. Pittsburgh’s ability to finish drives is the separator here, pulling away late after a tight first half.

Pick #2: Chiefs -11.5 vs Raiders

              Projected score: Chiefs 38 - Raiders 17

This is the kind of matchup where Kansas City’s offense can flex its ceiling. Las Vegas hasn’t generated consistent pressure this season, and Patrick Mahomes with a clean pocket is lethal. Look for Andy Reid to lean into tempo and early-down passing, forcing the Raiders to chase from behind almost immediately. Isiah Pacheco’s physicality should show up in the second half as KC shifts gears into clock-killing mode.

For Vegas, Geno Smith has flashed competency, but this Chiefs defense under Steve Spagnuolo has become stingy against one-dimensional attacks, so sustained drives will be hard to come by. Kansas City pulls away with a dominant middle stretch, making this my top confidence play of the week.

Pick #3: Cowboys +2.5 vs Commanders

                Projected score: Cowboys 34 - Commanders 20

Washington has been game under Jayden Daniels, but Dallas is built to punish young QBs who hang onto the ball. Even without Micah Parsons, the Cowboys can create chaos without blitzing, allowing them to stay disciplined behind it. Expect some early success on designed QB runs, but over four quarters, Dallas’ defensive front should wear down the Commanders’ protection.

On offense, Dak Prescott’s rhythm passing game is humming. With CeeDee Lamb expected back this week and Javonte Williams finding daylight on zone schemes, Dallas can dictate tempo and stay ahead of schedule. Barring turnovers, this projects as a steady-control Cowboys win - not a fluky blowout, but a decisive one.

                  Pick #4: 49ers -2.5 vs Falcons

                  Projected score: 49ers 35 - Falcons 13

This matchup tilts heavily toward San Francisco’s lines. The Falcons’ pass protection has struggled against four-man rushes, and the 49ers' front is exactly the kind of interior-edge combo that can collapse Michael Penix Jr.'s pocket consistently. Atlanta will try to lean on Bijan Robinson early to slow the tempo, but once it falls behind, the pass game doesn’t have the answers against San Francisco’s coverage looks.

Offensively, Kyle Shanahan has the luxury of leaning on Christian McCaffrey and staying balanced. Atlanta’s defense has been feisty, but its light boxes invite run efficiency. Whether it's Brock Purdy or Mac Jones this week, their job is to manage and hit his layups. This profiles as a controlled, convincing home win for San Francisco.

Pick #5: Lions -5.5 vs Buccaneers

                    Projected score: Lions 30 - Buccaneers 17

Detroit’s script is straightforward: win early downs with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to keep play-action alive, then let Jared Goff work the middle with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta. Tampa’s defense is sturdy against the run, but if the Lions stay on schedule, their shot plays to Jameson Williams show up after the Bucs roll coverage.

On the other side, Baker Mayfield has been excellent, yet Tampa’s receiver room is banged up and Detroit’s front should get a boost with Alim McNeill returning. That helps the Lions squeeze pockets and force Mayfield into a few longer third downs. One more nuance: Detroit will be without safety Brian Branch due to suspension, which can open a seam or two. But unless the Bucs hit explosives consistently, the Lions’ balanced offense and red-zone sequencing should carry a two-score result.

Good take. If Gibbs and Montgomery start rolling early, Goff’s gonna have a field day off play-action. Tampa’s defense is solid, but with their receivers banged up, it’s tough to see them keeping up. Lions should handle this one comfortably.
