The Cleveland Browns are a F’n problem!
Ok, let me preface. I’m a huge Cleveland fan. I was born and raised in CTown.

The Browns defense is going to give opposing offenses fits. Their defensive line is the absolute best in football. Defense wins championships. Yes, I said it. The Browns go from worst to first in the AFC Central. If this team stays healthy, and Flacco can manage the offense, they are going to be in a lot of games. Last year was an anomaly. Vegas is going off of last season. The Browns offense last year was changed to suit Deshaun Watson. That offense was shit. The defense couldn’t get off the field. Flacco is made for Stefanski’s offense. He won’t have to do much but enough to win games.

The schedule is brutal but Browns over 5.5 games is a lock.

‘’I’ve got Browns +850 to make the playoffs.

Wait for it… I also have +30000 the Browns win it all. 100 dollar make you holler.

    1st up the Bungles.

Cincinatti has a long history of starting slow to start the season. They have put major emphasis this year to start fast. But you are, who you are. Browns lay the wood on Joe Burrow.

    Browns 1st half +3
    Game +5
    ML +200

          Hey, Mac:
          1) Thx for the post.
          2) You know that I root for the Browns.
          3) One has to go deep into the history books. But the tradition is there.
          4) It's an honor to wear the Brown jersey. If the players think that way, we're halfway there.
          5) I want Garrett to be a team-leader. I want his unit to wreak havoc on opponents.

          Go, Browns!
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

You can't be trusted or taken seriously in regards to anything Cleveland sports. Everyone knew the Cavs would shit themselves come playoff time and the Browns should have a decent defense but the offense will be pretty brutal most likely. My guess is you will finish with 5-8 wins.

That said, I believe Cinci usually has all sorts of problems playing in Cleveland so you might be a decent bet this weekend.

There’s a huge difference between beating the Bengals (or any team) week 1 and being an actual contender in this league.

Sorry - Browns to win more than 8 games is not happening. It just isn’t happening with the holes on this team. They can get lucky any given week and beating Cincy or Pittsburgh is going to give the faithful something to cheer about - but they aren’t going to win 10 which is what the playoffs will take.

Been a fan my entire life - my gambling mentor was the absolute definition of die hard Cleveland fan and it wore off on me. Some of most vibrant memories of sporting events involve this team. And if you’re a lifer - you should know - this team screws up more than anyone when it comes to personnel decisions. Started sometime around the point of trading Bobby Mitchell and a 1st rounder for Ernie Davis and has went downhill since from what I understand.

Jake - I’m a homer, no doubt but I also tell it like I see it. I follow these teams closely, so I feel I have a bit of an advantage. The Cavs got sand bit with injuries. You can’t cap injuries. I told you guys about the Cavs 3 years ago when they were projected to be dead last in the NBA. We made a lot of money on the Cavs, since then. The Cavs had the best record in the NBA last season but players started dropping like flies. I agree, Nothing matters for them until they make the Finals. If they don’t this season, it’s time to break them up.

Now, I see value in the Browns. Buy low, sell high. Everybody has been shitting on the Browns, rightfully so. But a lot of people are looking at last year, which was a disaster. The defense was good last year but Watson was a hot mess. The Browns invested all that money in a guy who just didn’t have it. They went all in last year, changed the playbook, brought in players that could work best with Watson and he was a big turd. Most QBs do well under Stephanski but Watson was a horrible fit. The players gave up because they knew they had no chance with Watson.

Flacco took this team mid season to the playoffs just 2 years ago. If he can stay healthy, which is a HUGE IF, the Browns are going to win some games. I don’t always like to talk about preseason but this was the best preseason since the return. They ran a professional camp and emphasized toughness and discipline. The offensive and defensive lines totally dominated the Panthers, Eagles and Rams lines. It was not even close. The Browns defensive line was so dominant, the opposing teams asked them to play at half speed in joint practices. WTF? The defensive line was unblockable against the 1s of the Eagles. That speaks volumes.

You can’t cap injuries. If Flacco goes down, the Browns and my bets are fukked. They will then tank for a high draft. If Garrett or Denzel Ward gets injured, game over and these guys don’t have a great injury history. But if you ever wanted to find a sleeper team in the league, the Browns could be that team.

The Browns had a storied history of winning until Modell weaseled the franchise to Baltimore. That was the Browns that won the Superbowls, with Browns players.

I don’t think the Browns have holes, they just have no room for injuries. The QB, offensive line, safety and LBs are thin. They don’t have a plethora of playmakers at receiver or RB, so that could be an issue too. Can they effectively run the ball? Can this rookie kicker deliver? He scares me. But plenty of teams have to deal with the same problems. The Lions probably would have won it all last season, if they didn’t have injury problems.

I was just busting your balls, Mac. I would personally not follow your Cleveland predictions but would indeed listen to your takes and info about the teams and players but take it with a grain of salt.

Agree that Cleveland could be a decent team to buy low on as the defense should good and might be a good dog play in certain spots.

KS made a mistake last year having a soft preseason, where he didn’t let his starters practice in pads. That was dumb. Game 1, they had so many penalties and were not in football shape. Add trying to fit Watson into a round hole. Last year was an anomaly. Bettors are betting on that Browns team. Not having Watson throwing the ball is a huge plus. This is not last years Browns.

Another thing worth noting is that the Browns have played very well in the division. Every year they win at least one game vs the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens. Their issue has been out of the division. Those 3 teams are some of the best in the league. That tells me they’re just inconsistent. Most of that is because of the inconsistency at QB.

The season could very well go off the rails, especially if they have key injuries. Then they could quickly go into tank mode. That’s the scary part. But I see a lot of value in a team that is significantly better than 2 years ago, when they made the playoffs. KS is a 2 time coach of the year. His ass is on the line. This guy is much smarter than his record. I look for teams that have potential. What teams everyone think are horrible but could surprise. The Browns are that team.

The offense certainly lacks playmakers but the offensive line is decent, when healthy. Health is the major issue. You maintain that offensive and defensive lines, the Browns are going to win more than a few games. If the Browns stay healthy, which is a huge IF, they will win at least 10 games, with one of the hardest schedules in the league.

Maybe -- the Browns (shockingly) drafted the wrong OSU RB?

He’s the ONLY unsigned drafted rookie, he's already had off-the-field legal issues and he has a history of being difficult to deal with as it pertains to money. The issue is guaranteed money, surrounding the suspension.

Browns don't have a QB though, I know the defense is really good. So lots of unders in their games.

I like the Unders in most cases but probably not versus Joe Burrow. Cinch’s offense is damn good and their defense sucks . Over 47.5 is probably the play this week. But most weeks, the under should hit.

I don't think the Browns can put up 27+, which they will need to win this game.

Hey Mac you may be right that CLEV is underrated. But it is clear you are biased when it comes to CLEV sports teams. Flacco is a statue and I doubt he lasts the whole year. Maybe they win 6 or 7 games. See what happens. GL.

Garrett will average two safeties per game. CLE 4, CIN 3.

You’re probably right. It’s going to take a lot of points to match Cinci’s offense. Thankfully, Cindi’s defense is awful. The Browns could score that on that defense. Burrow traditionally struggles vs the Browns. Jamar Chase and Higgins have had their worst games as well. Denzel Ward and Newsome are lock down guys that know how to cover them. I think Cinci changes things up and goes with a heavy 2 tight end set, from what some folks have told me. So many unknowns. This is the game to get.

Flacco is in much better shape than Rodger’s. Now he’s a statue. Flacco has that arm and he understands this offense. I think he eats against this Bengals porous defense.

I pay attention to my Cleveland teams. I know the Guardians suck this season. But I’m realistic in what I see. A lot of my friends are totally down on the Browns. I hear there’s still tickets available for this game. A lot of apathy. Most people think the Browns are going to be near the bottom of the league. Many believe the Browns have already decided to tank this season for a QB next year. I just don’t buy that. This game will show me a lot. If they come out flat and uninspired, it’ll be a long season. If that defense does what I think it’s capable of doing, we might be looking at the 2nd coming of the 85 Bears. LOL

I have always liked the Browns ever since the Kosar days. They finally got a good QB in Mayfield, and they let him go.

Good luck this season. I would love to see them make the playoffs. I see 4 to 6 wins.
