    Artificial Intelligence Referees
    Seems like the natural progression.

Especially for NBA where there seems to be widespread belief the refs and league manipulate the outcomes routinely.

Personally I don't mind human error in refereeing. Would prefer errors in soccer instead of VAR for example. But I suspect there will be a push for AI to take over refereeing within the next 5 years max.

Do you want it? How do you think it would work? Humans on court wired up to be told the calls? Maybe everyone wired up, inc fans, and decisions communicated that way?

I agree 100%. Instant replay, VAR, and all the other BS has destroyed all sports. All it does is stop momentum. The NCAA tournament was an absolute joke this year. Every game the refs went to monitor on every play. The result of all of it might be a few calls corrected but for the price of fluidity of the game. Hell they still fuk up calls even after looking at it for 10 minutes.

Although we all want to win, ALWAYS want the CORRECT calls made. Taken losses by many a bad call

I could get behind an AI ref that instantly calls offsides in soccer.

Let the refs do the rest.

Could AI be used to beat the books? Or do the books already use AI to set lines? I wonder if a bettor using AI to place bets could beat the books.
