John, I've been trying to crystallize my Flagg opinion:
*He's a great talent. No doubt.
...He has to keep improving. The NBA is un-forgiving.

My thoughts on the other Duke players:
*Knueppel is really good. Should be a solid pro.
*Maluach is a monster. I think he's under-the-radar b/c of Flagg. How hi will HE be drafted?

Ya, I wouldn't be so sure Florida will advance. They have a lot of problems in the half court, incase you didn't notice. The two teams that slowed them down UConn and TT had them on the ropes. Auburn/Florida is a coin flip at best.

Unde - I know you’re not high on the Gators and they have not looked good so far in this tourney but I have to keep reminding you that they played 7 games in 14 days from the east to the west coast. They had to be on tired legs. Imagine the stress playing so many single elimination games. These boys just now have been able to sleep in their own beds this week. I think this little break is what was sorely needed. Auburn is a tough out but I think you will see UF clean up a lot of their turnovers and poor play. I think you will see them play a faster pace as well.

Ya, I was pretty clear on that being a BS excuse. I mean look around Mac, every team played a shit ton of games. They do every year. That is part of it, has been for decades. This isn't something new. I know you want to make it all dramatic because you need to find excuses for them but come on man. I could give you examples of teams that played more games then them in a shorter amount of time and then went on to win the tournament not looking like this years Gators. Example 2011 UConn, had to win 5 games in 5 days to win just the Big East Tournament.

The fact remains that this team is not that great when they are forced into a half court game. It isn't because they are tired that they aren't running, it is because their coach is being out coached, and the other team is taking them to the cleaners on the glass. If you can't rebound the ball you can't run. I am not saying they don't have the talent and depth to win against anyone else. Hell I have said they are the best team in the SEC, but I don't know they have what it takes now. I think that coach is in way over his head. Guy has no answers for what the other coach is doing, he also has been exposed in this tournament. That is another reason I am not high on them anymore.

I actually like that the last two games were close for Florida. They know how to crank it up when it matters. It's called being battle-tested.

I think Duke has a ton to worry about in this game. They won't be the big bullies on the block. The only thing that scares me about that is they will be the smarter team. If this game is played according to what the total is then Houston has a great shot. We should know by halftime. Not like that helps. My money is on Houston. The only Cinderella left LOL

Gators take care of business again. Strong 2nd half. The scary part is this Gator team has played at a “C” level these last few games. If they bring their A game Monday, look out.

Now on to Duke/Houston. If refs let them play, Houston has a chance. I’m really looking forward to this game.

Historically Duke struggles with physicality. Both teams scrimmages]d at the beginning of the season and Houston embarrassed Duke.
