The Jets will take on $49M in dead money by releasing Rodgers. He’s being designated as a post-June 1 cut, meaning they’ll carry his $21M cap hit until June 1, when it drops to $14M—saving $7M. But they then will absorb a $35M dead cap hit in 2026.

Where does Rodgers to the Jets rank on all-time bust contracts? Two years, not many wins. Massive hammer-blow to the Financial Stmts.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment

49 million seems like a lot of money to normal people like us, but they sure as shit shrugg that off like a god damn bar tab
One of the worst contracts ever👍 1Comment

Watson's contract takes the cake based on the amount of guaranteed money, length of the contract and what they got out of him(next to nothing).👍 2Comment

Two years ago I was telling people that this contract was crazy:
1) The Packer fans were glad to see him go. He'd worn out his welcome.
2) In his later years the ego of this guy (Rodgers) has gone to the moon.
3) His level of play was declining. In particular, his mobility had dropped to zero. Sort of like Cousins, you can't count on him to get even one scrambling First Down.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?😎 1Comment

Watson buried the Browns and they were buried before he got there. He doesn’t want to play football.👍 1Comment
