He didn't die from the one beer and joint he smoked. He died from excessive speed resulting in the control loss of the motorcycle.

I've had 2 cousins die from motorcycle accidents 1 year apart. My one cousin was at the scene when my other cousin died but still kept riding and died on the same road.
