I played at 5dimes a lot and killed it until they took it away. DId you play there?

PALMS---tons of video poker in years past, very little in the slot arena..................and very seldom at all anymore on either front.

Yes, played at 5dimes, and still do.

I saw software Fishhead had on the computer when I was out there a few months ago
It runs 10,000 hands at a time and gives some sort of betting percentages on given machines

                    That's sad.

So, you have this trip planned-- and you just had to sign onto SBR (and I'm guessing EOG), to bump a 2-year old thread?

Holy fuk, that is just sad.

And Fish, I didn't ask you where you were going.

I asked if you were a cuckold.

How can one be a long term winner on video poker when the breaking point is hitting the right royal flush; but this leads to you being forced into reports to the IRS of your winnings, which would take a large cut of the Royal flush winnings.

I'm sure he found a way. He was a raging alcoholic, but overcame that, and could be in control and have a few drinks now.

One owes taxes only on NET winnings.

                            i.e------

$183,000 in wins adding up all sessions(line 21)
$103,000 in losses adding up losing sessions(schedule A gambling losses)

                            Taxes owed on $80k profit

All w2g's are listed in a separate section.

Note--The above is done if one files as a non-professional, as a professional, taxes become a tad more complicating.

I saw Fishhead about 6 weeks ago at some beat up casino playing penny slots and screaming and yelling at a security guard for no apparent reason

This guy claims if you play long enough no matter how much your losing the BIG ONE will hit

                              I tried for a while...well now INTO A LOAN SHARK FOR 15K

He neglects to tell you he is in the garbage cans of newspaper stands collecting losing scratch tickets/lottey tickets and picking up losing horse tickets so he could off set his winnings.

Not needed if one keeps a detailed diary of sessions played........

One of the biggest misconceptions on the tax front is that one needs losing tickets to offset losses or a win/loss report from a casino......both can be used, but not needed by IRS qualification standards.

Look at the difference of these two:

                                        $1542

                                        -vs-

                                        9/5 game winning $5451
$5451.00 progressive Royal Flush jackpot in Lake Tahoe, NV. This was right after a couple of 4-of-a-kinds hit bringing my cash out to $6,251.00 (see lower right). Best gambling trip ever... free airfare, hotel, transportation to/from Reno, food, and a great run at the poker table too!
