I thought that they would work things out, but now the Rams are letting Stafford's agent talk to other teams now. If he moves on, it seems to be that it would exclusively be a money thing because the Rams look like the best option of being a winner compared to the other teams he could be traded to. If they trade him, I think the Rams go for Darnold. Bring him back home to California, and put him in another great situation, this time with McVay.

The 50MM number is being floated around for Stafford. I thought that was kind of ridiculous until I saw Tua getting somewhere around 50. The Rams just need to restructure the deal and give him some dough for the next 2 years.
Unfortunately for Stafford he's not negotiating from a position of strength. I think he technically still has 2 years left and only 4M guaranteed for next year which is a very tradeable contract.Comment -

The NFL insiders said just today that the Giants covet Cam Ward and are willing to trade up to first pick overall.
As a lifelong Giants fan, I say that's all well and good however if the empty suits in the front office continue to neglect the interior line it wouldn't matter if Joe Cool or TB12 were taking snaps under center they still wouldn't win more than six games.
Address the offensive line, sign a WR2 to go with Nabors, then get the QB.
I would love to see Cooper Kupp in blue, if he can stay healthy that would be a very nice 1-2 wide receiver punch.
Right now, the Giants are light years behind the Redskins and Eagles.Comment -
