Never understood the slight undervaluing of KC. How they were underdogs in the Super Bowl was amazing. Now tied with the best record in NFL and undefeated at home. In recent years they always play tough this time of the year. I’ll take Mahomes over Goff any day. KC should be #1 until they are no longer in the picture to win the Super Bowl.

Agreed Super Bowl Champs are number 1 till their out.
DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) calculates a team's success based on the down-and-distance of each play during the season, then calculates how much more or less successful each team is compared to the league average.
I follow this believing defense wins championships. And after the first four weeks it's done well for me.
