I almost wish the Bears would have KEPT him. He's in a division with Lafleur/Campbell/O'Connell. Where does he rank on that list?

The Talking Heads had a field-day with that run-out. Think about it. They literally could have done ANYTHING, which would have been better than letting the time run out for one heave:
1) Call Timeout,
2) Run ANY play. Realistically, any Pass play that has a chance to gain 5+ yards.

What coaching level could execute that runout better than Eberflus did?

*Hi-school HC
*Youth-level HC
*Any Madden player

The same Bears brass (minus Eberflus, of course) interviewed Kliff Kingsbury -- knowing Caleb was going to their QB-- for the OC job in January , and chose Shane Waldron over him.

There were so many gaffes during Eberflus' tenure. And after the game, he'd always claim he'd made the right decision. Never could admit his mistakes.

Shiver, you are so right. Eberflus always looked clueless in the post-games. Certainly not a Captain of the Ship kind of guy.

As a lifelong Colts fan, I still am not sure why the Fleus and Sirianni got head coaching gigs. Nick has done well but our offense was trash when he was there. Colts D under Fleus was ok but he was no Macdonald like Seattle got.........
