The Bengals made no effort to get MacPherson a better look at a field goal. I understand he's a good kicker but 53 yards in an outdoor stadium can't be taken for granted. Why just slam the ball into the line of scrimmage for no gain? Pick up one first down and the kick % chances improve dramatically. Chase had man to man on the outside, throw a slant for fukk's sake!!!

Looked like holder bobbled the snap but I agree Taylor got way too conservative thinking field goal was automatic

No shit Sherlock, but that's not a valid excuse for poor coaching... The further back you are the more imperative clean execution becomes for the entire process of snap, placement, and kick. Had it been a 40 yarder, for instance, any hiccup becomes less pronounced and even a bobbled hold can be overcome most of the time.

Both defenses were getting carved up the entire game and now suddenly, with the game on the line, you neuter your most potent weapons and just run right into a stacked box three straight times???

I don't care how you spin it, that's poor coaching.

The Ravens had pretty much committed every resource they had to ensure not an inch was given up between the tackles, hell the Bungles probably could've scored a touchdown with the slightest effort. Baltimore hadn't stopped Chase or Higgins all damn day with conventional defense, they sure as hell weren't about to start with that look.

                    Gee-Men +3.5 Sunday.

Hey look, it's what I've been saying for four years now running, if you give Daniel Jones some blocking up front he's a real NFL QB.
Don't overthink this, Giants lost Gano for his career it looks like or else they're 3-2 right now.

Nabers was concussed last week, he's back Sunday, so is Singletary who is now going to share backfield reps with Tracy who is what we thought he was, a twitchy scat back that can make defenders whiff on tackles.

Dabol knows what he has with Jones and Nabers, and the two backs, and Slayton as an ancillary wide out.

                    Gee-Men +3.5
I'm grabbing the hook now at no extra cost, I believe this line goes down to three points by Tuesday.

I thought Tracy ran well and gave them more pop in the run game. I'm kind of surprised they field goal block at the end wasn't called a personal foul, I was under the impression you couldn't jump over the line of scrimmage. I'm glad it wasn't though, the Giants deserved to win that game after what happened on their first drive where it looked like the runner broke the plane but resulted in a 102 yard touchdown the other way.
