Aden looks so much more athletic. MMA might be the sport that I'm least knowledgeable on.

I know that wrestlers tend to do better than you think. That's about it.

Could see it playing out in 2 ways:

Adesanya wants to keep the distance and have a technical striking battle....

Du Plessis wants to close the distance, get in his face and make it a grimy scrap as well as getting some takedowns...

Adesanya also coming off a loss and a long layoff and is supposedly "refreshed" physically and mentally.

Tough call as many seem to underestimate Du plessis but he just keeps winning...

Yeah, the more I think about it unless Adesanya can put him to sleep, Du Plessis as the stronger guy will press the issue and make this an ugly fight and probably grind out a win.

The fight will likely be decided as to whether Adesanya can keep him at range or not.

Chucky, Adesanya is a counter striker and Du Plessis is a pressure fighter so there will be opportunities to clip him as he moves forward. Du Plessis is very strong and durable...whether he can close the distance without getting hurt badly will likely tell the tale here.

Strickland pressured Izzy with success - Expect Du to do the same. Izzy will be ready with the counters like you said - I think he regains the belt.

1) Nobody is more sure of their opinions going into a fight.
2) Add up the results. Very rare to see someone be a +EV MMA capper over time. At least I haven't seen it.
