Battle of the aces in SF.
Strike out artists the both of them.
The game is -110/-110 (man to man pick 'em)

Blake Snell total strikeouts 8.5 (-110)

(These lines will probably jump a little before the first pitch)

There often tends to be a run in the 1st inning of such matchups.

Good point, and though these two are dominant arms they're not automatic like the way Bob Gibson was automatic.

                E1: 0-0

                Snell: (3) Ks already!
Sale: 0 outs with runners on the corners and Giants get zero runs!

Glad you were there. you witnessed elite class pitching.
I'm a former catcher, I live for those type of games.
I appreciate pitchers, that was just a masterpiece.

Snell and Sale combined for 23 K's.

This is where baseball gets tough. You’re betting on the arms, then it turns into anyone’s game 0-0 with different jerkoffs than the one you bet on trying to get you home.

My interest in betting baseball has declined steadily over the last five or so years. I feel like the more experience I get, I’m figuring out more and more what I think are good bets, and baseball games just feel more and more like coin flips.

Case in point I had Yankees in a parlay last night. Best record against the worst, and they lose 12-2 as -355 favorites. It’s possible that hasn’t happened since I’ve been betting, that that big a favorite loses like that in August. And I’m looking at it like of course, of fukking course this fukking happens when I bet the fukking goddamn Yankees against the shitty White Sox. I said in that other thread the moment I bet against them they’d come alive and yep. Yep. Fukk me.

So yeah, baseball, I haven’t sworn it off but I used to bet it everyday and…we’ll just say interest is waning

I hear you Tex, but that game last night screamed "Under seven runs"
And logic paid off big time, baseball sharps and rec bettors made some coin on the under.

Yeah you’re right. Bullpens can give that up too, but yeah you’re right. You do have to be more wise with baseball than “this really good team should beat this really bad team”. Why me though Steve…why yesterday…typing through tears over here Steve…

                                        I know, I know.

Baseball betting is the most statistical driven of all the team sports.
There are an occasional 'fluke' game or season or two, but when it's all said and done, across a large 162 game sample size season a nine strike out per game pitcher will most likely strike out nine or more, which was the case last night.

A .280 lifetime hitter who is hitting .270 at the All-Star break will more than likely hit .290 after the break.
There are exceptions to every rule of course, like a career hamburger of a pitcher (Don Larsen) pitching a perfect World Series game, but unlike NFL betting where the age-old mantra "On any given Sunday" still lives, baseball betting stays true to logic (Usually)
