Any new football betting preview guides out there?
Around now I’m usually buying Marc Lawrence’s Playbook. It’s always good but was wondering if anything new is out there.

I know Phil “Steal” Steele’s is out there but didn’t like him much in the past.

VSiN has its guide available to subscribers. Their material has usually been worth a read but I’ve only subscribed off and on when a short-term deal is offered. Use to like the Point Spread Weekly guide but they moved away from that one.

Any suggestions for other preview guides? Free or otherwise?

Steele has a lot of info. In some ways it's the Bible of Coll FB research. Amazingly, I think Steele is a terrible capper even with all that info.

I used to buy the Lawrence mag every year. All schedules in one place w/ nice line history. Didn't like the move from cheaper paper, b/c these mags are now way over-priced.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

I think BetUS might have sent an OK one before. Will keep an eye out.

Yes printed magazines have all gone up a lot. I think his site has digital versions but it’s not the same for me. Like to have the real guide all handy.

              2) People are spooked by Kan City. As if they're going to win it every year.

              3) BAL w/ Lamar and BUF w/ Allen have won too many games to not break thru.
...IMHO, Bal is on par with KC. And Buf is close.

Plan is to put 1/2-unit each. BAL 9/1 and BUF 14/1.
...This looks like great value compared to KC 5/1.

i still like the feeling of having a magazine in my hand than a digital copy of the same magazine

but then i would rather read a website than read a magazine

I would say 49ers, but for the same low odds problem as KC.

Opti, I hear you. I have a very specific view on the Niners:

                      1) NFC is light. So, any NFC record is bloated.

                      2) Purdy isn't as good as advertised. Nobody can convince me otherwise. He was a 7th-round pick, and that's b/c of his arm strength.

Everyone has their own opinion. I'm keen to the Ravens and the Bills.

As soon as he buys it, Old Bill might agree. KC on the cover this year and Bill will fill you in on the curse details.

Without even starting to look, Balt. is loaded with Derrick Henry and the Lamar worries. How do you stack up on Henry off the right side and spy on Lamar in the pocket or rolling left ? You don't. Oh, and whose left for Andrews and we haven't even got to the receivers yet.
I refuse to start to look until later this month, but for now, oh my!

Salud, str. Good info. Wonder how many carries Henry will get.

                            1) I independently asked two Raven fans what they thought of the team. They each said the same thing: "We'll win the opener. But lose in the playoffs." As if they're doomed to playoff failure.

                            2) I do find the market prices to be interesting. Game One rates KC/Balt as about equal. But the Ravens are twice as long on the Championship odds.

You just can’t jerk off onto a digital magazine to mark all your favorite places for quick reference. But at the price of physical print these days, might as well hire another guy to jerk you off onto the magazine while you’re at it

Chiefs could be the 1st 3 peat and Rams are underrated. I got these in my futures parlay. Super bowl losers struggle to get back to the Super bowl, 49ers should struggle and McCaffery is on the cover of the Madden game cover curse.
