Because of Equity law, the US has to scale any pay raise Men's coach vs Women's coach. If they brought in Zidane at 4x current salary, then the Women's coach gets a 4x raise.

Well it's not as crazy as it sounds given how the women's team isn't a constant embarrassment like the men's team. Either way these coaches aren't making insane bucks like college coaches. Fairly certain the federation would pay a coach 5 million a year if the USA could advance to the quarterfinals in the upcoming World Cup.
