I was lucky enough to see a lot of HOF'ers in KC that night.

My Grandma scored the game. I think about 10 of us went from the family.

Went to the game in 1979 in Seattle ($12 for an upper deck ticket, I still have the stub). Brett, Carew, Jackson, Rice, Yastrzemski, Ryan, Carter, Garvey, Schmidt, Parker, Rose, Morgan, Bench, Carlton, Perry, Sutter, Brock and others. Even as a young kid, I knew that about a third of the players were legends.

1969 for me. Ticket stub below.

My next door neighbor had season tickets , 1st base mezzanine, perfect seats, and could not go to day games because of poor eye site. He gave me any day games I wanted and I went a lot in the summer often by myself.

This game was rained out from Tuesday night and played on Wednesday day. He could not go so I did.

I saw Willie McCovey bash two homeruns . One was an absolute rocket to right field. It looked like it was still going up when it smashed into the wall in right behind the fence. Unbelievable. All my heroes on the same field.

If there is a heaven, I think I saw it that day. Never forget it.
