Doesn't surprise me.
Just last week I read where certain politicians want all individual prop bets on NCAA games outlawed, reason being it's too easy to get to the kids.

Probably a doctor who treated him, knew about his ailments and knew he would play minimally.

It’s the gambling police they want to remind players they’re being followed. Equibase will find you if you owe

He was betting on himself. He ONLY makes $400000 a season.
Now the players will cry that they are underpaid and if they weren't he wouldn't need to do this.

Everyone who said Jontay's a shoo-in for the HOF is suspiciously quiet today. Nary a peep.

Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn·FollowMost damning for Porter and the NBA itself: He bet the Raptors to lose, according to league’s investigation.

He should identify as a woman and play in the WNBA. He could earn several thousands of dollars per year.

Though he's surely upset he'll be fine. Go play in Europe or Asia

$80k prop bet? Well that's certainly one way to stand out from the crowd. I wonder who that guy was and if he's received any punishment?

Nothing to do with him. No one should have to answer for the actions of a family member. Stupid family tbf -I seem to remember another brother of his going to jail for killing a woman while drunk driving... bit more serious than this. MPJ is not so different to them but he's lucky to have been drafted into a franchise with several strong leaders.

Not if it's unethical, and against the rules.
And if you bet on yourself when you know it'll cost you millions and do so anyways.
Then you're just a blockheaded idiot.
