If you take a closer look at the recent history of this tournaments, the first round with the exception of a few Cinderellas, is littered with dog crap games.

I guarantee you next weekend's game will be compelling ball, and don't discount tomorrow's games either.
Of course, UConn was going to smoke Stetson, St. Peter's was not going to fool Tennesse like they did to Calipari, Gonzaga was no surprise. No way those were going to be thrillers. The only suspense there was will any of those super dogs cover the massive number.

well yeah UNC kept failing to live up to expectations in 07, 08 so in 09 when it was final chance for a few guys to win they went ahead and whooped everyone's ass in the tournament blowout Michigan state in the title game and they beat them that season earlier by 35 lmao... was awesome as a UNC fan

15 years later and psycho T is now calling games on radio for UNC and still all-time scorer for UNC... Bacot isn't even close

true but i think the expectations were way too high.

remember that in 07 they did make the elite 8 and lost to georgetown but that was florida's year anyway for the B2B wins for Joakim Noah and company.

in 08 they made the F4 in a match up of four #1 seeds the first time in history and last time that has happened. all because of the NBA instituting the rule that HS players have to be one year removed from HS before they can enter the draft.

UNC ran into a Kansas buzz saw that was simply meant to win it all (ask Memphis who led them by like 8 or 9 points w two mins left and chalmers hit the big 3)
