            Some of the first NFL information and commentary I heard was from Mort. Way back in the 90’s. He was a staple on the original NFL shows on ESPN. Damn I’m getting old.

                Cancer...He has been in rough shape for years even prior to leaving ESPN, sad to see someone looking like a shell of their old self.

                  Yeah- it was tough to see that for him. A total professional to the end. He was a real reporter when journalism and journalists were on ESPN. Not this shock jock and personal commentary we see now. Too bad.

                    He was one of the really good ones no doubt...by all accounts was a great person and very nice guy as well and that came through on TV.
