#4Go to Little Italy. I used to live in Newark, but I only went into NYC about 10 times the whole time I lived there. It became a pain in the ause. I liked Rubirosa Restaurant..Nice little joint. Ma and Pop. They got one of those old toilets with the chain. I'll put it behind the toilet.
Yeah, those were the good ole days. When I lived in Newark with this beautiful Portuguese woman in a Portuguese section of Newark. Little Brasilia is right around there too. The bakeries were outstanding. I think I added 20 lbs. living with her walking to the bakery every day.

#15Great time at the game last night. I wanted to RAGE after but hit eject.
On the agenda:
Today: Meetings all day, tonight dinner at Sparks Steakhouse.
Thursday: wife and kids fly in, staying in Midtown Manhattan, plan to grab dinner with them near Rockefeller Center and maybe skate with the boys. Find a local restaurant. Any suggestions?
Friday: Check out 9/11 memorial, Lion King on Broadway later in the day, hope my kids don’t meltdown. Eat somewhere local.
Saturday: open day and do whatever. Knicks/Celtics game. My kids are fired up.Comment -

#19I worked in NYC for years before moving to Connecticut.
MJ, you might want to consider checking out the East Village before you leave.
It's the only part of NYC that hasn't been yuppified.
Some of the iconic punk clubs are gone, like CBGB for instance, but it's still worth checking out.
You have all the ethnic restaurants off Second Ave. I'm Polish, there's incredible off the boat, real Polish food spots, Russian and Indian food too. Real and authentic.Comment -

#20Enjoy. I've never been to Sparks, but I can vouch for Keens in Manhattan. Steak and mutton are both very good. I highly recommend the creamed spinach. I don't know how old your kids are, but the 9/11 memorial might not be the best place for younger, energetic kids. The observation deck at One World Trade Center is right there and is probably a better place for keeping a young child's attention. If your kids are in the dinosaur phase the American Museum of Natural history might work.
Have a great trip.Comment -
