Raiders' Jimmy Garoppolo gets 2-game ban for PED violation
Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is being suspended two games for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy, league sources told ESPN.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is being suspended two games for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy, league sources told ESPN.

The policy violation is said to be related to Garoppolo using a prescribed medication without having a valid therapeutic use exemption from the league, according to sources.

Garoppolo will not appeal the suspension and will miss the first two games of the 2024 season, but it is not expected to be with the Raiders, per sources.

Holding a clipboard for Tom Brady and collecting 5 rings was not a bad gig.

Like my old man used to tell me about both football and baseball. Son, the two best jobs in the world are a backup QB and a bench warmer in MLB. One makes millions of dollars just to hold a clipboard for 3 hours and the other makes millions of dollars just to sit on his ass for a couple of hours and chew on sunflower seeds while periodically adjusting his jock strap!......Definitely good work if you can get it!...

Are you serious right now? Hell no Drunk! Don't want him and sure as hell don't need him! Besides it's no secret we are going to be drafting one of those hot shot QB's with our second overall pick. whatever we do, please don't trade up with Chicago just to get Caleb Williams! I think he's going to be a bust. RG3 nightmares all over again!...

Dafuq are talking about 5 rings?

He's been in Frisco for the majority of his career. He collected two rings as Brady's backup.

Since when does a QB need to take illegal PED's to enhance his play? Does D-bol and HGH make you throw the ball more accurate? Am I missing something here?

How does a 2 game ban affect a guy that is a back up on the bench? Other than the lost wages he wasn't going to play anyway.

He'll probably come cheaper than a first round draft pick that could easily be a bust. I hope they take the chance.

Well you can say that about 90% of starting QB's in the NFL. It all starts up front. A QB is as only as good as his offensive line...

Hell give me time to throw and the fastest receivers in the league and I may be able to hit them on stride after practicing.

PEDs help you run faster, and throw the ball harder, which is an advantage for any position, even kicker. Plus you can recover faster. That's probably the biggest advantage. Some guys take 3 days to recover from a hard hitting game. If you can cut that to 1 day, that's huge.

Do PED's make decision making and field vision improve? Does it make you a more accurate passer. I don't think so.

I guess you can the rock a bit faster and maybe run bit faster juiced, what ever. QB position I just don't think you need to cheat that much with PED's and take the risk for very little reward...

Very true, however in 2015 eight others hit 40 or more home runs.
I'm a KC Royals fan, I remember 2015 vividly, I saw about 140 of their games that year via MLB.TV.

Tell you one thing though, half of Davis's HR's were moonshots that season.
He was like Dave Kingman, the exception being Davis was a pretty nice guy, Kingman was a colossal asshole.
