i do work my asss off, i will admit that, and could be richer working for myself but it's a big risk and I am inside of 10 years from retiring so i am staying the course.

i dollar cost average into dips on strong positions (broken stocks who are not broken companies) and then when the market rips i let it run.

when it pulls back, if i am still in strong green on certain positions, i open up new positions on different stocks.

I use Fidelity for everything personally and for my business. I have asked them to focus on strong companies that may have undervalued or shit stock performance. My deal is so different- my net worth is in the business literally.

Turned 50 this year myself, and yes Father Time takes a sh!t on the old body. I own a small shop/truck accessory business, bought a couple properties, my retirement IS the business and properties.

My thing was smoking bud (amongst other substances) as addicts we need to replace toxic habits with healthier habits, for me I got a couple of German short hair dogs and have hiked our asses off, literally, 2k miles a year all while working full time. I can easily say the best “high” I’ve ever had wasfrom being in nature, high alpine (turquoise blue) lakes are majestical, the views from a 13-14k+ summit are unlike anything a photo can portrait. I’m addicted to hiking, I’m consumed with searching for new destinations to get lost in nature. I fuk around with betting and crypto as something for my mind to do, when I’m not in motion, my mind never shuts off, in a odd way, looking at stats, past history, data, graphs, gives my mind something to chew on. My dogs are incredibly strong and fit, they could easily hike 20 miles over rough terrain and then want to turn around and do it again, my old bones after 15-20 miles ache, but I do enjoy all the miles we log.

I agree Jakester. I have sports gambling as a side hobby still. That takes up an hour or two a day capping sports. I still enjoy that even being sober. I spend an hour exercising every day also.

I'm retired now and comfortable but I'm thinking of going back to work and creating a starter business perhaps. I haven't committed to that just yet but I'm considering it. It's on the mind. I know that's a big commitment and will surely take up all my free time. I hate to lose so I can't go half assed in trying that again.
