SBR Surveyed 3000 Fans and the Top Response was...

Here's the problem if all penalties are reviewable.
The game would last eight hours.

The better replay tech gets, the more gray areas there will be; no way around it.

The problem is obviously that refs have way too much ability to manipulate the game and that's because there are too many rules to begin with.

This is right in line with how rules and regulations are applied and judged when it comes to everything in ANY sport.

In my mind, that would make it as correct as a human can apparently be when it comes to umpiring, reffing, judging or anything along those lines.
Bias to the stars just comes with the territory in all sports.
As long as humans do the judging, etc. it cannot get better IMO.

one rule needs to be cahanged n o tied games as in college foots they play until some one wins if after 10 mins game is still tied go no clock

no time outs must go 4 downs kick a fg or score td no punting if other team stops you at your own 20 they take over

There is a penalty on every snap. The flags are only thrown when the penalty is severe enough. Like if you use 50 cameras on every player you will see holding on almost every player. Then the game will become unwatchable as every two minutes there will be stoppage to review the play and keep moving the chains back and forth without any actual game being played.

In my opinion, one of the biggest issues with penalties is how disproportionately severe some of them are.

1st and 10, run up the middle for 1 yard gain, holding is called, now its 1st and 20. For many offenses that completely ends their drive.

3rd and 12, QB is looking to the right side of the field and throws incomplete but on the left side of the field there was illegal contact, now its 1st and 10. That penalty is essentially a mini turnover.

These are just a couple of examples of how penalties that may or may not have actually affected the play can completely change the game. And you might be thinking, well that's part of the game, just don't commit the penalty, yada yada yada... but the real issue with that is you're giving the referees the power to completely control the outcome of the game.

I think so many of these refereeing issues could be solved if you just stop awarding automatic first downs on 5 yard defensive penalties, reduce 15 yard penalties to 10 yards (maybe these ones could still be automatic first downs). Pass interference should be a spot foul up to 15 yards (like college). Offensive holding should be 5 yards instead of 10. Get rid of the stupid jersey number eligibility rule altogether and just let the defense be responsible for seeing who is eligible based on the the formation.

I think these simple changes would really help the game and make inconsistent refereeing a little more tolerable.

Every offensive line holds every game and almost every play. You want to protect the QB? No holding penalties. Boom
