There's some truth to this.

So many plays are purely up to the discretion of the refs.

In Wk 17, literally every game had playoff implications. For Wk 18, I see about five games that I'd deemed to be Dead Rubbers. I'm sure the league office thinks that's five too many.

Offensive Holding and/or Defensive Pass Interference could be called virtually every play. Some of these calls are total jokes.

I agree that these players are very fast in many of those situations and you can slow it down and it looks silly but when they run 4.3 or 4.2 whatever and have to stop on a dime or move another way, etc. of course they can fall over or lose their footing or take a worse angle.
