    No. That's a shocker.

I didn't know he was sick. Not too long after Jimmy V Week.

Seems like I was listening to him call games last year. RIP, big-man, you were good.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

        RIP

Seeing many contemporaries dying the past few years makes me feel old...I remember watching him play at UNC whilst in high school

Same. Getting to feel old is a blessing though. I bet Eric would like to “feel old” right now. RIP.

Gotta eat your fruits and veggies daily to avoid that cancer! Seafood and Spinach also.

I wonder if he got fat and was eating pizzas and fried foods towards the end there?

I'm 55 and luckily cancer doesn't run in my family. Family Genes sometimes does have something to do with it.

You always have something stupid to say when someone dies, regardless of how. Maybe think/learn/google before you speak. And no, he didn't get cancer eating pizzas/fried foods

Asking a question is not being stupid as to why someone died. You learn from other people's failed life styles. It's called being informed and learning. Sorry that went right over your head.

Appears he was thin so it's a damn shame he got cancer. I also know that heavy stress in ones life can also cause cancer.

Didn't go over my head, your posts are always the same. You weren't "asking a question", you were doing your usual passive-aggressive schtick: person A dies, must have been drugs/alcohol/overweight/gangster/etc. etc. If only he'd eaten his spinach

Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

There is always a reason why someone dies. That's why there are performed autopsies in life for starters.

To be curious about why someone died in their 50's is called learning and being curious. I don't lack empathy. If that makes me a bad person and a chump then so be it.

LOL - My XGF was a heavy smoker. I had quit smoking back in 04' never had one again. Best thing top 5 I've done in my life. Anyway, some woman she knew well got cancer in her 40's and died. I guess this woman was a health nut, always exercising and eating right. She got lung cancer of all things. So, of course, my X came to this brilliant conclusion that she doesn't need to quit smoking because cancer can happen to even the most healthy. LOL. Yes, some women have logic that is all-world without a doubt. She's lucky she was really good in bed.

Life can always throw you a curve ball for sure out of the blue for no apparent reason. Bad genes and stress could be a factor for the healthy folks though. I always look for clues..

Yep, you can always count on Jibs to chime in with some off-color remark in a death thread. It's automatic. That said, I do look forward to his wise takes on life and death.
