Shohei Ohtani, the transcendent two-way talent who spent the past three years redefining what was possible at his sport's highest level, signed a 10-year, $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, announcing his decision on his Instagram page.

Obviously, they plan on using Ohtani as a full-time pitcher but will they have him DH as well? only a matter of time before he gets injured again because of wear and tear and being overused. Actually the records mean nothing as the league is there to make profit for owners. The fans have no say. So if the teams with the high payrolls make money then is all good. So if a team with a 60 million payroll did a 5 million profit in a year and the team with 300 million payroll did a 20 million profit (these are made up numbers so don't research) then who did the best for the owner? The teams are money making machines. This is why no owner in all major sports has ever lost money in buying a team when they sold it.
