Prescott dropped out of the race today as far as I'm concerned. He feasts on cupcakes and then hits the highway and folds like origami. I think people are tired of seeing that. MVP's don't disappear in the big games.

How'd they do last week without him?

Besides, your argument that a team must stink to high noon if the MVP candidate is out of the lineup is juvenile and it's not even legitimate criteria, it's something you invented because you basically call everyone overrated.

Imagine if the Fins didn't have him for the entire season, rather than single out a game against the cellar dwelling Jets.

Okay so he has no shot obviously because he isn't an MVP.

Guy was a no show in all of the games they lost vs good teams.

As for the whole season thing they would probably be pretty much around the same record because they lost vs good teams and beat dog shit teams with the exception of a fluke win by Tennessee.

I have a ticket on Lamar at preseason odds of +1400 so I hope the Ravens win Christmas night. The two Niners are his main competition. Dak and Hurts have slid imo.

If people have to convince you so much that he deserves MVP then he probably doesn't deserve it. Is he even a top 5 player on his team? No question I'd give to CMC or even Tyreek over Purdy but we know it's an award for QB's only.

I think you could replace Purdy with Zach Wilson and they'd have the same record. Deebo, CMC, Kittle, Trent and their defense are winning them games more than Purdy is IMO.

That's a hot take but you're probably not wrong. That's the downside of being a lottery pick sometimes, you end up on a trash organization and it can hinder the trajectory of your career, whereas if you're the last pick in the draft you end up in a quarterback's heaven with no expectations.

SF needs Purdy to get them over the top. Purdy's accuracy is the difference. Sometimes his his receivers are wide open, at other times ball placement and hitting runners in stride is allowing YAC.

Lots of QBs make their receivers work or go to the ground. Purdy allows them to keep running.
