#4I had a little scratch on the game Over 39.
It's pretty sad when the road team puts up 34 points and I still can't cash an O39 ticket.Comment -

#7Is it Bailey Zappe time?! I've got a strange feeling that he's in Belechick's doghouse for some reason or another. Zappe seemed to give the Pats a booster shot when he came in last year and actually played pretty well. But ole Bill is hell bent on sinking or swimming with Mac Jones.Comment -

#8Borderline zero talent on offense. Mac is looking bad because he's forcing the issue a lot now. Even if they replace him the team has little hope on offense. Time to re-toolComment -

#12What is surprising to me is the defense is horrific also. Forget about losing Tom Brady and all that talent on offense as this team is equally dog shit on both sides of the ball now.

Players don't respect him anymore and Billy is an old man now just going thru the motions. His system doesn't work anymore.

He was with Parcells long before he was with Cleveland and back with Parcells after with NE and the Jets Jets Jets. Belichick was always a brilliant defensive mind and Parcells knew it.
I think he's just too old school now for today's athlete and his time is up in NE. Just like Big Red's time was up in Philadelphia after 14 years.Comment -

#24I was just about to bring up Andy Reid! Same exact scenario and same comments and insults from everyone alike. Reid is washed up, the game has passed him by, blah, blah, blah...but I would say Andy Reid rebounded rather nicely wouldn't you? Ditto for BB...He needs a change a scenery and a breath of fresh air. As a diehard skins fan, here is what I'm hoping and dreaming (a punchers chance that it might happen...I'm being very optimistic mind you)...Ron Riviera gets shitcanned this year after another failure. BB is not retained by the Pats. Our new ownership group led by Josh Harris lures BB to DC and makes him an offer he can't refuse! BB was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland! (only 30 - 35 minutes from DC)...My neck of the woods for the last 35+ years before moving to Cyprus. and then hopefully having some humility and dignity left, reaches out to Tom Brady and apologizes for all of the diva drama bullshit that happened the last couple of years in New England. and Josh Harris gives Brady a contract he can't turn down laced with lucrative incentives and bonuses! and the Redskins next season get the dynamic duo back together again for one last ride into the sunset!Originally posted by Str8Mush4LifeRevived maybe..

#25Speaking of which, since we are on the topic and to kind of piggyback off my last post, any chance at all that BB reaches out to Tom Brady and apologizes profusely to him for all of the crap, and begs him to sign and play for the Pats this season? (I'm assuming Brady has been working out and is still in good shape). Brady sure as hell can't do any worse than Mac Jones! and he knows BB's system inside and out. BB would definitely have to eat a big slice of humble pie and admit he was wrong (I'm not sure if his over-inflated ego would allow that) but the very thought did occur to me. Fat chance I know but I'm more/less just shooting the shit with my fellow SBR brethren right now.Comment -

He hired BB to help him with the defense.
Parcells knew BB is a defensive specialist.
Remember now Parcells was HC and performing most of the GM duties during the LT era, there was a lot on his plate.
Parcells pretty much told Belichick when planning for the Bills before the Super Bowl "this is what I want to do, play keep away from Jim Kelly and chew up clock, you come up with a defensive scheme"
(paraphrasing there)
Belichick will go down as one of the games greatest defensive minds, but on offense, he's average.Comment -

#30I totally get and understand that, Jake. but it doesn't hurt to ask, right? and also most great and gifted athletes like Brady have that competitive fire, itch, and desire to win. it's what separates them from the rest of the crowd. it's the very reason why he has 7 rings on his fingers. I mean what's the worst that can happen? he says no and we all move along...no harm, no foul.Originally posted by JAKEPEAVY21BB might ask but why on Earth would Brady come back to play on this team? #33New offense with OB (Bill O’Brien) returning to New England as OC this season.
I thought there would be somewhat of a slow start with offense and slack Mac Jones but never imagined it would look this bad at this point in the season. I still think it may turn out to be decent season for Ezekiel Elliott might as was my prediction prior to season but for now it’s best not to have any Pats on your fantasy team as you likely figured out by now. Unless we see change at QB sooner rather than later!Comment -
